The Bioflame System can handle the waste you currently produce.
The system was originally designed to handle rice and coffee husk waste. Therefore, unlike the current crop of unproven gasification technologies, we have no need for you to over-process the fuel you have. We can handle anything from 100% MDF dust, any fines right up to 100mm chip. We expect to receive an element of ferros and non-ferros contamination in the fuel as well as a proportion of other non combustible material such as stone, grit and site residue.
The Bioflame System conforms to current legislation.
It is Waste Incineration Directive (WID) compliant. The Rhino TTU achieves a residence time of 4 seconds (double the minimum standard) and will operate continually at temperatures in excess of 850C. With correctly specified filtration equipment, particulates can be reduced to a maximum of 10 parts per million (double the minimum standard). Our unique slow speed burn-out grate delivers a cool, carbon free ash that can be re-used as an aggregate or other similar product.
The Bioflame System is affordable and bankable
We have yet to install a system where the payback on capital employed was greater than 26 months. The full system has been passed rigorous independent technical and financial due diligence completed by Mott Macdonald, a senior engineering consultancy. Financial close was reached on our first joint venture project in April 2008, not the easiest of times for securing senior debt project finance.
The Bioflame system is guaranteed.
Our system comprises OEM guarantees placed back to back. We leave no stone unturned to ensure that all our equipment performs to a stringent initial design specification. Because we can show you working plant, we have no need to make claims we cannot demonstrate.
The service
We never promise what we can't deliver. Every step of the way your enquiry and order will be handled by experts with a passion for what they are doing. Attention to detail is of paramount importance and we will take every precaution to ensure that your installation runs on specification, on time and on budget. We offer a full turn-key service that comprises everything you need to get your EfW business up and running. We are experts in the planning process, environmental permissions, grid connection, Ofgem and ROC registration, Fuel sampling methodology, finance provision and engineering delivery
The Competition
There are currently (AUG 2008) only four sites registered with Ofgem for ROC generation on low grade wood waste: Slough Heat & Power, Wilton 10, Lockerbie and Bioflame. Of the four, Bioflame is the only small scale system that has actually claimed, traded and profited from the ROCs it has generated.
