Another planning consent won on appeal with an award of full costs

The Inspector of Planning has ruled in our favour after North Tyneside Council saw fit to ignore their Planning Officers advice
Winning Planning Appeals is becoming something of a habit for the planning team at Bioflame. For the second time this year the Inspector of Planning has ruled that a Council has acted unreasonably and awarded Bioflame full costs. Last time it was Rotherham. This time it is North Tyneside. Where next? This takes the number of consecutive planning victories won by our tremendous planning team to 14. However, it is only with the support of the hard working professional planners that sit behind the planning committees that this success can be achieved and we thank them for all their hard work. It is a shame that they, along with the local council tax payers, have to bear the brunt of the mistakes made by committees who seem to wander off the planning agenda and into the political one.
Although the need to appeal the original decision has set this project back we look forward to getting the ball rolling with our partners Holystone Ltd to build a 2.5 megawatt renewable energy power station that will run on wood waste that would otherwise go to landfill on the Holystone site at Wallsend.
