Caythorpe Plant in rude health

12 February 2010

The Bioflame plant at Caythorpe is in rude health and Bioflame has been short-listed for a Yorkshire Forward Innovation Award 2010

But don't just take our word for it - we can now show you.  This is a screen shot of the main control panel from the plant in Caythorpe taken this afternoon.  You will see in the bottom middle right of the screen a box named Turbine.  There you will see that the power output is 3.12 MWh of electrical generation (we use some of that output - about 420 kwh to run the plant leaving enough juice to run well over 6000 households).  Another important point to note is the data on the top left hand side of the screen which shows our emissions to atmosphere well within Waste Incineration Directive levels.

Our company goes from strength to strength and we are extremely pleased to be recognised once again as a business with great potential.

(NB:  This screen-shot represents a moment in time during an exercise to see what the maximum output of the turbine was.  The maximum rated output of the turbine in normal use is 3MW and the design output of the boiler is 17 tonnes per hour to achieve that output - we cannot achieve the level of power output shown here at all times and apologise if this page of our web site had been in any way misleading.  We can and do however achieve this level of emission at all times)
