Legislation is the biggest driver of the waste business. In many but not all cases, it is also the biggest barrier to speedy installation. Depending on your specific site and waste type, a number of different rules and regulations may be applicable.

It is our practice to involve all stakeholders (local authority, Environment Agency, DEFRA, local groups etc) early in the procedure in order to smoothly move to the successful conclusion of a planning and permitting procedure. Bioflame has access to the right expertise and experience to organise painless approvals.

Our 'Rhino' waste treatment units and associated system components are fully compliant with:

• The Clean Air Act 1993,
• Pollution Prevention and Control Regulations, now known as The Environmental Permit and regulated by the Environment Agency
  
• Waste Incineration Directive (2000/76/EC)
• Animal By-Products Regulation (EC1774/2002) for Waste Categories two and three
