System to provide high value breeding station with bio-security

The Problem

How does a breeding hatchery, hyper-sensitive to bio-security (bird flue etc) ensure that it's waste products don't leave site until rendered biologically inert.

The Solution

Bioflame were contacted to see if it were possible to design a combustion system that would be able to handle the high ash and low calorific value fuel produced by the hatchery.  A system was designed to receive the dried waste material to combust in order to self fuel a drying system with waste heat.  An amount of natural gas is used to start the process or in the event that the dried material is so low in calorific value that it can't sustain combustion.  The system has been operational now since December 2005
